A gradual return to the work routine is observed in public institutions this Friday, the 26th.

Santo Domingo.– In the framework of the return to work after the Christmas festivities, this Friday, December 26, we took a tour of several public institutions in the country, including the National Congress and the Ministry of Labor, with the aim of verifying whether the staff had resumed their duties or if, on the contrary, the dependencies remained desolate. It was found that the Ministry of Labor was open to the public, although with a considerably low influx of citizens and a reduced presence of employees, reflecting a gradual return to usual activities after the Christmas break. At the location, services were offered in a limited manner, with few users carrying out procedures.

In contrast, the National Congress remained completely closed, with no movement of personnel or visitors, showing that legislative work has not yet resumed after the Christmas celebrations. The scene observed in these and other public institutions reflects a slow return to normalcy, characteristic of the days following the holidays, when much of the staff is still enjoying leave or collective vacations. It is expected that, starting in January, government offices will fully resume their usual pace of work and public service.
