In the audiovisual, the president emphasizes that the border should not be seen as a simple line on the map, but as “the beginning and the place where the homeland is born, where respect begins and where we reaffirm that being Dominican is a pride that is defended from the first step.”
Likewise, the Head of State emphasizes that “the border is not where the Dominican Republic ends, but where the duty to protect it begins”.
The message seeks to reinforce the importance of border security and the sense of national identity at a time when the government’s efforts to control irregular migration and strengthen sovereignty are intensifying.
