Santo Domingo. – During his intervention in LA Semanal with the press, President Luis Abinader addressed the reform of the National Police and the progress in the regularization of salaries and pensions of the agents.

“There was a lack of relationship between salaries, wages and pensions, and that in the new law, right Faride, we are regularizing it,” the president pointed out.

The head of state explained that work is being done on a consensus outside of Congress to ensure that, when the proposal arrives, it can be approved as soon as possible. Abinader highlighted that the measure seeks to correct the existing situation and ensure that the new legislation adequately regulates salaries and pensions within the National Police.
