Santo Domingo.- Senator and president of the Partido Primero la Gente (PPG), Antonio Marte, stated that if Omar Fernández is the presidential candidate chosen by the opposition, it will be difficult for the ruling party to retain power in 2028.
The businessman stated that “the problem is that the people are in Omar’s,” inferring that it is an unfavorable scenario for his allies in the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
“Si fuera Omar el candidato la pelea se puede dar más dura, que con los candidatos del PRM y otro candidato (de la oposición), porque el problema es que la gente está en Omar, el pueblo está con Omar”,
enfatizó Marte.
He also established that the charm of the congressman of the Fuerza del Pueblo is undeniable, which makes him a potential candidate for the next elections.
“If Omar is the opposition candidate, we are going to have to work hard, the fight will be tougher, the people will hardly hear that from a PRM member, but I say it,” he concluded.
