Authorities maintain uninterrupted search for Brianna Genao in Puerto Plata

Puerto Plata.– The spokesperson for the National Police, Diego Pesqueira, reported this Saturday that the search for the girl Brianna Genao, 3 years old, reported missing since December 31, 2025, in the community of Barrero, Imbert municipality, Puerto Plata province, continues uninterrupted. Pesqueira explained that the operation is carried out jointly and coordinated, with the participation of the Dominican Republic Air Force, the Civil Defense, the National Police and the Canine Unit of the law enforcement institution, as well as other rescue brigades that have joined the efforts to find the whereabouts of the minor.

The authorities have deployed teams by land and air, expanding the search radius and utilizing specialized resources, including trained dogs, with the aim of locating the girl as soon as possible. The police spokesperson reiterated the commitment of the institutions involved not to spare any effort until the case is clarified and asked citizens to collaborate with any information that may be useful for the investigation. Also, the authorities maintain constant communication with the minor’s family, to whom they have expressed their support while the search efforts continue in the area.
