Businessman Williams Torres exposes situation with Environment in Samaná

Sánchez, Samaná. – Businessman and politician Williams Torres publicly addressed a situation involving the provincial director of Environment and Natural Resources, Lic. Juan Carlos Olea, stating that he perceives persecution towards him by said institution.

Torres explained that the official visited him at his residence located in the community of Las Majagua, Sánchez municipality, where the issue of a property linked to the case was addressed. According to the businessman, said property does not belong to him directly, and at that moment he referred to the legitimate owners of the land.

He also stated that only boat material is found at the site, without any significant environmental intervention.

The businessman expressed his concern about the impact this situation has on his personal environment and the tranquility of the community, and stated that he is awaiting an official pronouncement from the National Directorate of the Environment, through the corresponding channels.

“I trust that the national authorities will act with transparency and objectivity, so that any misunderstanding is clarified and institutional peace is preserved,” Torres expressed.

The community remains attentive to the development of the case, awaiting a response that provides clarity and guarantees respect for due process.
