The Economic and Social Council (CES) announced that the opening of the “Dialogue on the Haitian crisis and its implications for the Dominican Republic” will be held on Thursday, June 5th at 4:00 PM.
The event will feature the participation of President Luis Abinader and former presidents Hipólito Mejía, Leonel Fernández, and Danilo Medina.Initially, the meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, June 3rd at 10:00 AM, according to the official invitation sent by the Executive Branch. However, it was postponed for unspecified reasons.
The inaugural session will be held in the Professor Juan Bosch Auditorium of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National Library, as confirmed by Rafael Toribio, president of the CES, through an informative note addressed to the citizenry.
