COE keeps the National District and 23 provinces on alert for rain

Santo Domingo.- Twenty-three provinces and the National District remain on alert this Friday due to the rains forecast by the incidence of a cold wind and a trough, informed the Emergency Operations Center (COE),

La Vega, Moneñor Nouel, San José de Ocoa, Samaná, El Seibo and Hato Mayor are on yellow alert.

Meanwhile, in green (minimum) are Santo Domingo, the National District, La Altagracia, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat, Hermanas Mirabal, San Juan, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Montecristi, Valverde and Puerto Plata. The COE recommends that people refrain from crossing rivers, streams, and ravines that present high volumes of water in the provinces under alert.
