COE raises to ten the provinces on green alert for rain

Santo Domingo,.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) raised this Monday to ten the demarcations on green alert due to rains, caused by the incidence of a tropical wave and a trough. This is about Santo Domingo, the National District, San Pedro de Macorís, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, Dajabón, Santiago Rodríguez and Elías Piña.

According to the forecast of the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), after midday, heavy showers, thunderstorms, and wind gusts are expected until the early hours of the night over La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat, and Hermanas Mirabal. Also, in Puerto Plata, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Azua, San Juan, Peravia, Santiago, Independencia, Bahoruco, Elías Piña, Dajabon, Barahona and El Gran Santo Domingo.
