Santiago. – The Children and Adolescents Court postponed the hearing to consider the request for a coercive measure against a 15-year-old adolescent accused of causing the death of his classmate, Norlvin Jeremías Rubiera, 14 years old, in an incident that occurred last Friday, the 28th, outside the Simón Antonio Luciano Polytechnic, in the El Ingenio Arriba sector. The hearing was postponed to allow the victim’s family to have proper legal representation through a private attorney during the process. The court set the new date for this Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.

According to preliminary data, the incident originated after a discussion between both students during a basketball game within the educational institution. The dispute continued outside the center, where the aggressor allegedly attacked Norlvin with a bladed weapon, causing him fatal injuries. The accused teenager —whose name is omitted for legal reasons— was transferred from the court to a police detachment to ensure his safety and physical integrity while the investigation progresses. The case has caused deep consternation among the educational community and residents of the sector, who are still trying to assimilate how a student conflict ended in irreparable tragedy.
