Santo Domingo.– The Executive Branch appointed engineer Onéximo Antonio González as the new executive vice president of the Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA), through decree 461-25.

González, who has extensive experience in the field of transportation and urban mobility, will assume the position with the aim of strengthening public transport services in the Dominican capital.

Engineer González has been involved in the modernization of public transportation in the country, standing out for his experience in operational management and urban mobility plan design. He has held various positions in transportation-related institutions, including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (AMET) and the Office for Transportation Reorganization (OPRET), where he participated in the implementation of key projects such as the Integrated Public Passenger Transportation System in the City of Santo Domingo. His appointment to OMSA is considered a strategic bet to improve the efficiency and coverage of the public transportation system, in line with the government’s efforts to offer sustainable and quality solutions to users.
