Barrero, Imbert, Puerto Plata.– Five months after the disappearance of the girl Brianna Genao Rosario, uncertainty continues to strike her family, who denounce the lack of concrete results in the investigation and assert that the minor’s uncles, detained and investigated after the event, remain in their homes under permanent surveillance, unable to resume their work activities or return to a normal life.
The disappearance of Brianna, which occurred on December 31, 2025, in the Barrero community, remains unsolved, while frustration grows among family members and residents who are demanding answers regarding one of the cases that has caused the most shock in Puerto Plata in recent years.
According to those close to them, the prolonged investigative process has kept the girl’s aunt and uncle in their home under constant observation since the beginning of the case, a situation that, they claim, has seriously affected their emotional, financial, and social stability.
“Five months have passed and we still don’t know what happened to Brianna. There are no answers for the family or the community,” expressed a relative of the minor.
