Former DEA supervisor in DR granted provisional release under strict conditions in the US

Santo Domingo.– Former supervisor of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the Dominican Republic, Melitón Cordero, was released on provisional bail by a federal court in the United States, subject to compliance with several judicial conditions. The order, issued on February 13, 2026, stipulates that Cordero must appear again before the court on March 6.
