In operations on the Northwest Line, the Army detains 46 undocumented Haitians

Undocumented foreigners were detained in different provinces of that region

Valverde, RD. – The Dominican Republic Army (ERD) reported that during immigration interdiction operations carried out at different points on the Northwest Line, 46 undocumented Haitians were detained.

The operations were carried out in Loma de Cabrera, La Solitaria, Hatillo Palma and San José, where two motorcycles of different brands were also seized, allegedly used to facilitate the transportation of foreigners. Among the undocumented foreigners detained are 30 men, 10 women, and 6 minors, who were transferred under military custody to the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Brigade of the Dominican Republic Army (ERD), for the corresponding legal purposes.

The Army reiterated that these operations are part of the permanent actions of border control, combating illicit trafficking, smuggling and support for citizen security, in compliance with the instructions of the General Commander of the institution.
