Among the coordinators who attended the assembly for the approval of the statutes, important leaders of the Fuerza del Pueblo stood out, including four councilors, more than 20 members of the Central Directorate, as well as several municipal and municipal district presidents. The assembly was coordinated by the presidents of the ADP in the sections of El Llano, Elías Piña, Daniel Ospino Valdez, and Hato Mayor, Darling Peguero, both with four three-year terms at the head of the teachers’ union. In addition to the veteran union members, the commission was comprised of the Organization Secretary of the Fuerza Magisterial and the Secretary of Education, the vice-secretaries and members of the Central Directorate Norman Paredes and Fausto Estévez, respectively, who took turns reading the statutes. Each article was submitted to the consideration of the assembly individually, receiving unanimous approval in 95% and majority approval in the rest. At the beginning of the assembly, the welcoming words were given by councilwoman and teacher Adhamilka Espinal, director of the Duarte School in Santo Domingo Oeste (SDO) and representative of the Magisterial Force in the National Executive Committee of the ADP. Subsequently, Fausto Estévez explained the process of more than a year of work, during which four commissions carried out extensive consultations, meetings and plenary sessions that allowed the final draft of the statutes to be presented to the assembly. The act counted as an observer with Dr. Aníbal Rosario Ramírez, Public Notary of the National District, who was able to verify the attendance of the convened delegates and the development of the agenda. With the approval of these statutes, consisting of 50 articles plus three transitional ones, the teachers organized under the line of thought of the Fuerza del Pueblo take an important step in their institutional consolidation, by concluding the internal congress of the FP and giving way to the continuity of the organic territorial work. One of the most relevant aspects was the transitional article that establishes the selection of an Electoral Commission, responsible for presenting an electoral regulation and a schedule that allows teachers to democratically elect their leadership. Following the approval of the statutes, the assembly members made various proposals to integrate said commission, which was formed collegially by the teachers Faustino Cedeño, provincial coordinator of the Magisterial Force in La Altagracia; Raúl Alandre Pula, president of the ADP in Ramón Santana; Romaira Florián, coordinator of the Fuerza del Pueblo in the province of Bahoruco; Alfredo Lizardo, coordinator of the Magisterial Force in La Ciénega; and Gisela Montero, member of the Central Directorate of the Fuerza del Pueblo.
