San Pedro de Macorís.– More than eight students from the Profesor Sergio Augusto Beras School reportedly showed symptoms of poisoning this Friday, in an incident recorded at the educational center located in the Naime residential area, in San Pedro de Macorís.
According to information sent to this media outlet, at least five of the affected minors were reportedly taken to the Dr. Antonio Musa Regional Hospital, where they received medical attention.
So far, it has not been officially established what could have caused the symptoms presented by the students, nor has there been any report regarding their health status.

The Professor Sergio Augusto Beras School is a public educational center belonging to the 05-01 Educational District of East San Pedro de Macorís. Available records confirm that the school provides initial and primary levels.
According to preliminary data received by De Último Minuto, more than eight children have reportedly been affected, although the final figure is pending confirmation from the relevant authorities.
