Valverde. – One person lost their life this Monday after being involved in a traffic accident recorded near kilometer 7 of the Duarte highway, close to the Jicomé municipal district, in the municipality of Esperanza.
According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred when one of the drivers attempted to overtake a semi-truck. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine how it happened.
The victim died at the scene due to the injuries sustained, according to reports obtained at the scene.
Following the incident, emergency units and agents from the relevant agencies arrived at the scene to assist with recovery efforts and traffic control.
