PN seizes illegal weapons, recovers stolen motorcycles and executes arrest warrants in SDN

Santo Domingo.- The Regional Directorate of the National Police in North Santo Domingo reported that two illegally carried firearms were seized, four motorcycles reported as stolen were recovered, and five arrest warrants were executed against individuals linked to various criminal acts.

During the interventions, the agents also arrested 19 people in flagrante delicto for various violations of the law, while 25 motorcycles were impounded for traffic regulation violations and other established offenses.

Likewise, 14 sound systems that were generating high levels of noise pollution were seized, in response to citizen complaints and in compliance with current legal provisions.

As part of the operations, the authorities seized communication radios, a scale, several cell phones, narcotic substances, and cash, evidence that is part of ongoing investigative processes.

Similarly, a person who was a fugitive from justice was captured. White weapons and slot machines that were operating irregularly were also seized.

The National Police reiterated that it will continue to strengthen preventive and crime-fighting efforts throughout the jurisdiction, with the aim of preserving citizen security and ensuring compliance with the law.

The detainees and the seized evidence will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
