Santo Domingo.– The Public Ministry will file this Wednesday the request for a coercive measure against Yakomo Hernández de la Rosa, who was traveling with the urban artist Masha in the vehicle shot at on the morning of Monday, February 16. Hernández de la Rosa was wanted by the justice system for his alleged involvement in a previous homicide. The shooting occurred when the car he was traveling in was intercepted by armed individuals at the intersection of 27 de Febrero and Máximo Gómez avenues, where they fired multiple shots. The attack left a 22-year-old woman dead.

According to the National Police, the accused had an active arrest warrant for his alleged participation in the death of Amenzón Stiven Payano, known as “Eminen”, which occurred on January 26 in the Villa Francisca sector, National District. Authorities indicated that investigations are ongoing to clarify both the recent shooting and the homicide for which he was wanted. It was also recalled that in October 2025, Hernández de la Rosa was arrested along with urban interpreter Masha in Villa Francisca, when police officers found two pounds of marijuana in the trunk of a Honda CR-V in which they were traveling. In that process, the Public Ministry requested preventive detention for alleged drug trafficking; however, both were released after paying an economic guarantee and the imposition of periodic reporting. The authorities are keeping investigations open to determine responsibilities and locate the perpetrators of the armed attack.
