Santiago de los Caballeros.- In a massive demonstration of faith that brought together thousands of believers at the Cibao Stadium, the celebration of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi became this Thursday a stage for collective prayer for world peace, the unity of families, and the strengthening of Christian values in Dominican society.
The activity, organized by the Archdiocese of Santiago, brought together faithful from different communities who, amidst songs, praises, and expressions of devotion, reaffirmed their belief in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, considered the center of the Catholic faith.
One of the most moving testimonies was that of Luz Villanueva, who claimed to have attended the celebration despite suffering from health problems.
“I thought I wouldn’t be able to come because of the pain I feel in my chest, but God gave me the strength to arrive and glorify the living and real Christ,” she expressed with emotion, while participating in the religious event.

The crowd also offered prayers for the end of armed conflicts and the violence affecting various nations. Irene Rodríguez highlighted that the traditional walk with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament represents a call for reconciliation and peace among peoples.

“We are praying for wars to cease and for God to transform the hearts of those who promote violence. The world needs more love, more faith, and more hope,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Juana Rodríguez highlighted the fervor of the attendees and defined the celebration as a spiritual experience that strengthens believers.
“Every year this mass brings together thousands of people who come seeking peace, liberation, and blessing for their lives and their families,” he noted.

For his part, Martín Rosa maintained that the central message of Corpus Christi is to keep God at the center of family and community life, even in the midst of economic and social difficulties.
“We must never turn away from the Creator. This celebration reminds us that God accompanies his people and that the family unit remains one of the fundamental pillars of our society,” he expressed.
The massive religious gathering reaffirmed Corpus Christi as one of the most important manifestations of faith in the country, turning the Cibao Stadium into a space where thousands of voices joined in a single petition: more peace, more unity, and more hope for the Dominican Republic and the world.
