Bogotá.- Colombians Piso 21 and Beéle, along with renowned American salsa singer Marc Anthony, released a new version of their hit song Volver this Thursday, this time to the rhythm of salsa. The original song, released last February in an urban version, has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. “We were in a room to return… and we returned. VOLVER-LA SALSA is now available. For us it was an honor to collaborate with Marc Anthony and Beéle, and this version is legendary,” Piso 21 expressed through their Instagram account.

The new interpretation incorporates the characteristic sounds of the salsa genre, such as congas, timbales, and the bell, offering a direct invitation to dance. In addition, the piano’s “tumbaos” and the powerful brass mambos reinforce the rhythmic character that inevitably leads to the catchy chorus: “I can’t forget what we could have been”, the group detailed in a statement. With this proposal, Piso 21 wanted to pay tribute to Marc Anthony in his musical field, salsa, a genre in which the artist has shone for more than 30 years worldwide. The release was accompanied by a “video dance” that complements the song’s story and exalts salsa as a narrative thread and visual protagonist, highlighting iconic and representative choreographies of the genre.
