San Juan, Puerto Rico. – Puerto Rican Christmas has a new flavor. Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Pedro Capó and CC1 Companies announce the launch of Capó Coquito, a proposal that pays homage to the traditions, culture, and festive spirit of Puerto Rico, made with Ron Capó aged 6 years. Capó Coquito is born as a natural extension of Ron Capó, launched a year ago, and as an invitation to share, toast, and celebrate with family during one of the most special times for Puerto Ricans. More than a drink, it is a cultural expression that connects generations and reaffirms a flavor that has always been part of our identity, long before coquito was internationally recognized as the best cocktail in the world.

Inspired by the classic recipe that is part of the collective memory of Puerto Rican Christmases, this coquito combines the traditional creaminess and sweetness with the depth and character of Ron Capó añejo 6 years old, achieving an authentic balance with essence in the parrandas, hugs and encounters that define these holidays and that Pedro Capó enjoys so much. This vision was embraced by Club Caribe Distillers, the production house of Ron Capó, rum aged in the mountains of Puerto Rico. For the elaboration of Coquito Capó, 6-year-old Ron Capó was used, matured in ex-bourbon barrels, providing depth and character to the final product. A creation of Pedro Capó himself, this coquito celebrates the essence of Puerto Rico with a touch of sophistication. Its profile combines creamy coconut, smooth vanilla, golden honey, and a delicate touch of cinnamon, along with secret ingredients carefully developed by the blend master and the master rum maker of the distillery. After multiple tests and adjustments, Pedro Capó personally approved the final flavor, achieving an artisanal drink that unites tradition, flavor, and Puerto Rican pride in every sip. “Christmas has always been synonymous with family, tradition, and joy. Hence, Coquito Capó was born, as a natural extension of Ron Capó and of memories that I have carried with me forever. I wanted to create something that would honor our roots, that would celebrate gatherings, parrandas, and those moments that unite us generation after generation. Today, I am excited to share with you this coquito made with Ron Capó 6 years old, aged in the mountains of Puerto Rico. More than a drink, it is part of who we are,” explained Pedro Capó about the drink. For its part, for CC1 Companies, this collaboration represents a double celebration: innovation and cultural pride, along with its 30th anniversary. “Celebrating 30 years of CC1 Companies with a product like Pedro Capó’s Coquito is celebrating our roots. It is a perfect union between music, tradition, and the flavor that defines us as Puerto Ricans,” expressed Alberto de la Cruz, CEO of CC1 Companies. The launch of Pedro Capó’s Coquito reaffirms the commitment of Pedro Capó and CC1 Companies to the creation of products that connect with Puerto Rican identity, honoring flavors that transcend generations and accompany the most significant moments of Puerto Ricans. With this new proposal, Pedro Capó, outside of his facet as a singer-songwriter, also continues to expand his vision as a cultural entrepreneur, bringing to market products that celebrate our heritage and become part of the traditions that are shared year after year. Pedro Capó’s Coquito will be available starting tomorrow in supermarkets around Puerto Rico.
