Toxic Crow, Jessica Pereira, and Lizbeth Santos visit Planeta Alofoke

This Wednesday night, the reality show Planeta Alofoke received special guests during its “primetime” to debate, along with the participants and the audience, topics of great national interest. The urban artist Toxic Crow and the communicators Jessica Pereira and Lizbeth Santos entered the ship, where they were received by the participants and by Charylie Alvarado, who once again led the broadcast of the “primetime”. During the visit of these figures, the issue of gender violence and the regrettable cases of femicides recorded in the last two weeks in the Dominican Republic were addressed, in which around eight women have died only in the month of May at the hands of their partners or ex-partners.

Lizbeth Santos emphatically stated that no one has the right to take a woman’s life, regardless of how much she has contributed in her life, making it clear that it is important to accept when the other person decides to end a relationship. For his part, Toxic Crow spoke out, calling on women not to accept help from a man and then not want to continue with him, a comment that sparked debate among the participants and the other guests. Jessica Pereira took advantage of her speech and called for awareness and an end to violence, urging those who have ended a relationship to understand when a bond has come to an end. This debate, presented on Wednesday night, brought to the table a critical reality affecting the Dominican Republic: the countless cases of violence and deaths of women at the hands of their partners or ex-partners. At the same time, it represents a sample of the social commitment of the productions led by Santiago Matías, using an audience of more than two million viewers to convey a message of awareness.
