El Lápiz proposed leaving differences behind and offered El Sultán the opportunity to ask him 10 questions during his presentation on September 12 in New York
Santo Domingo.- Dominican rapper Lápiz Conciente left the door open for a possible reconciliation with Santiago Matías (Alofoke), by revealing that he has been reflecting on the possibility of joining forces and proposing a “clean slate” during his upcoming performance at the United Palace in New York.
Through a post on his Instagram account, the artist shared a photograph with Matías, accompanied by a message in which he revealed that the possibility of a union between them was recently proposed to him.

“Yesterday someone told me: if you join forces with Alofoke, the joking around ends and the movement grows because you two are the best in your field… I was left thinking about it,” wrote Lápiz Conciente.
The performer accompanied the reflection with the phrase “And just as I overcame my ego”, hinting at his willingness to overcome the differences that have marked his public relationship with the businessman and communicator for years.
As part of that possible rapprochement, Lápiz extended a proposal for this upcoming September 12th, the date he is scheduled to perform at the United Palace. The rapper offered El Sultán (Prince Matías) the opportunity to come up on stage and ask him 10 questions.

“September 12th at the United Palace I am giving El Sultán (Prince Matías) the opportunity to ask me 10 questions on stage and let bygones be bygones”, the artist stated.
The message creates expectations about what could happen during the show in New York and about a potential reconciliation between Lápiz Conciente and Alofoke, two figures who have had public disagreements and who have held relevant positions within the Dominican urban movement and entertainment industry.
The relationship between Santiago Matías (Alofoke) and Lápiz Conciente has gone through different stages over the years, from collaboration and closeness during the growth of the Dominican urban movement to public disagreements. Both were protagonists of a key era for the expansion of the genre, each from their own area: Lápiz as one of the main exponents of Dominican rap and Matías from the communication, promotion, and dissemination of urban music.
Over time, the differences between the two became public through interviews, social media, and statements that fueled a relationship marked by moments of tension and estrangement. Despite this, Lápiz’s recent message opens the possibility of a new chapter between two figures who have had a significant influence on the evolution and projection of the Dominican urban movement.
