Zoe Saldaña returns to action in the third season of “Special Ops: Lioness”

Los Angeles. Paramount+ presented the first official teaser for the third season of Special Ops: Lioness, one of its most successful series, confirming the return of Dominican-American actress Zoe Saldaña at the helm of a new high-stakes mission.

The production, created by Taylor Sheridan, will also feature performances by Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, and Dave Annable, solidifying a top-tier cast for this new installment.

According to the official synopsis, the story will follow Joe McNamara, played by Saldaña, as she faces a complex web of threats that jeopardize both her work and her personal life.

“Hidden networks, foreign agents, and personal betrayals collide. Joe walks the thin line between duty and home as hidden forces close in on his world,” teases the description of the new season.

In addition to Saldaña, the cast includes Laysla De Oliveira, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier, and Ian Bohen.

Lioness debuted in 2023 and quickly achieved a positive reception among critics and audiences. It currently holds a 72% rating on the Tomatometer and a 74% on the Rotten Tomatoes Popcornmeter.

The third season will premiere on August 2nd via Paramount+ and will once again feature executive production by Taylor Sheridan, Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, and Keith Cox.

With new threats, conspiracies, and personal challenges, the series promises to further raise the tension and action that have made it one of the most popular productions on the platform.
