A mother breaks down in tears after learning that her 6-year-old son, Corey, had allegedly been forced by his father, Christopher Gregor, to run on a treadmill because he was considered overweight.
Surveillance footage showed Gregor increasing the treadmill’s speed as the child struggled to keep running. Prosecutors also alleged that he bit the boy on the head during the session.
Days later, Corey was taken to a hospital after experiencing difficulty walking and speaking. He suffered a medical collapse during an MRI and died at just 6 years old.
An autopsy found severe traumatic injuries, particularly to the heart and liver. Gregor was ultimately convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
