Tokyo.- A strong 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Mindanao region in the southern Philippines this Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), triggering a tsunami alert in the archipelago as well as on the southeastern coast of Japan.
According to the data, the earthquake has caused structural damage to several buildings in the city and evacuations.
