Ahmedabad (India).- The Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR), one of the “black boxes” of the plane, from the Air India plane that crashed yesterday has been recovered this Friday, more than 24 hours after the accident in which more than 260 people died, official sources reported.
“The black box was found on the roof of a building. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) immediately began working hard,” reported the Indian authority responsible for the investigation.
In turn, the
United States Secretary of State,
Marco Rubio, sent his condolences this Thursday for the fatal air accident after a plane crashed in India when it was heading to London with
242 people on board.
“I am torn by the news of the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, India. I pray for all those who lost their loved ones in this horrible incident,” Rubio declared on social media.
“We are closely monitoring the evolution of the situation and express our support for the emergency services working to help those affected,” added the head of
American diplomacy.
The
Boeing 787 of Air India flight AI171, which was covering the route between Ahmedabad (western India) and Gatwick airport in London, crashed this Thursday minutes after taking off with 242 people on board (230 passengers and 12 crew members).
