Commercial air travel reached a new global milestone on July 23, 2026, with 153,359 flights tracked worldwide, making it the busiest day ever recorded, according to flight-tracking platform Flightradar24.
The record reflects the continued growth of global air traffic as airlines expand operations and passenger demand remains strong across international and domestic routes.
Flightradar24 said the total surpassed all previous daily records, highlighting the scale of commercial aviation activity around the world.
