“The easiest way to save billions of dollars in our budget is to cancel Elon’s subsidies and government contracts. I was always surprised that (Joe) Biden didn’t do it!” noted the Republican leader on his social network, Truth Social.
Musk stepped down on May 30th from his role as head of the Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE), in charge of cutting bureaucracy and federal spending, and claimed at the time that he was doing so to focus on his companies.
At the public farewell event, both lavished praise on each other, but Trump offered a new version of what happened this Thursday.
Epstein Case
It is recalled that, Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier convicted of sex crimes, mainly for trafficking minors and sexual abuse of girls. He died in prison in August 2019, while awaiting trial.

In early 2024, hundreds of pages of court documents related to a civil lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell (Epstein’s associate) were declassified and made public. These documents named dozens of people connected to Epstein in various ways, including business associates and accusers.
In that sense, U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi has been working on the declassification and publication of more files related to Epstein, including flight records and other information. The first phase of these documents was published in February 2025.
