Tegucigalpa.- The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Honduras, Ana Paola Hall, attributed this Saturday to “technical problems” the fall of the scrutiny system of last Sunday’s general elections.
Hall stated in statements to journalists that he wanted to “make it very clear that this CNE has the firm will for the disclosure to be continuous”, but that the failure has been due to “technical problems beyond the plenary” and “beyond our technical team, and specific to the awarded company, to reduce uncertainty” among Hondurans.
“The entire electoral process has been a constant battle, we would like this stage to be different but unfortunately, it is not,” emphasized the counselor.
