Dajabón.- During operations carried out by the Dominican Republic Army, to control the trafficking of irregular migrants on the border, 48 undocumented Haitian nationals were arrested in the provinces of Dajabón and Santiago Rodríguez. In operations carried out in the area of responsibility of the 4th Infantry Brigade of the ERD, a patrol intercepted a group of 34 Haitian nationals with irregular immigration status in the town of Los Ciruelos de Dajabón. Other 14 foreigners of Haitian nationality in irregular migratory condition were arrested when they were moving near the Las Caobas checkpoint of Santiago Rodríguez and were intercepted by members of the ERD.

The group of undocumented foreigners, made up of 38 men, 09 women and a minor, was transferred to the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Brigade ERD for the appropriate purposes.
