Israel announces attacks on missile storage and launch areas in Iran

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced early this Saturday that the country’s Air Force has launched a series of attacks against missile storage and launch sites in central Iran. According to regional media, air defenses have been activated in the Iranian capital, while the Al Mayadeen channel reports that the systems are “successfully” intercepting Israeli targets in Tehran and Isfahan.

Earlier in the day, Israeli media reported that Iran launched a dozen ballistic missiles towards Israel, with at least one impact registered in the central area of the Jewish State. In social media, videos are circulating of a building on fire, amidst an emergency services deployment.
  • Since the early hours of June 13, when Israel launched an unprovoked attack against Iran, the two nations have been exchanging bombardments. Russia, China and numerous countries of the world have condemned the Israeli offensive harshly, calling it a serious violation of international law and the UN Charter.
