Jerusalem.- At least 61 Palestinians died on Friday from attacks perpetrated by the Israeli Army along
Gaza, according to the daily count of Gazan Health, which
adds up to the 34 fatalities recorded in hospitals since early Saturday morning.
This Friday, 61 deaths and 308 injuries arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip, according to figures published today by the Ministry of Health of the Hamas government, surpassing 62,600 deaths since October 2023.
Of the people who died on Friday, 16 were trying to receive food at distribution points of the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) or near military posts through which the scarce UN trucks that Israel allows to enter the enclave pass.
Early this Friday morning, the Israeli army bombed tent camps in the city of Asdaa in Khan Yunis (south) and killed 17 people, including six children, according to a source at Naser Hospital.
Among those killed in this attack are the brothers Awad Hamdan Awad Fujo, 13 years old, and his brother Abdullah, 10, but there is also a six-month-old baby, and three other children aged 10, 8 and 7.
Nine more Palestinians died in an attack on a house in the al-Sabra neighborhood in the besieged city of Gaza, where Israel has been relentlessly bombing since the 10th, in addition to demolishing dozens of buildings in the peripheral Zeitoun neighborhood.
Near the Zikim military post, in the north of the enclave and where UN trucks sometimes arrive with humanitarian aid, six Gazans who were waiting for aid died this Saturday.
90% of the Gazan population has been displaced on multiple occasions since October 2023, while Israel has destroyed hospitals, schools, homes, and shelters, and has crowded the population into 14% of the territory.
