Lima,.- The Government of Peru announced this Wednesday the release of two other Peruvian citizens who were imprisoned in Venezuela, which adds up to a total of three men released since President Nicolás Maduro was captured by the United States in a military operation on January 3rd.
The two released Peruvians are Ricardo Meléndez and Arturo Paredes, as announced in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru, disseminated on social media.
The Peruvian Chancellery indicated that the release of Meléndez and Paredes occurred after various efforts made from Torre Tagle, the headquarters of Peruvian diplomacy, which also achieved last week the release and repatriation of Marco Antonio Madrid.
