Russia’s Defense Ministry said Thursday that its forces carried out overnight strikes on port infrastructure in the Ukrainian city of Odesa that it claims was being used to support Ukraine’s armed forces.
According to the ministry, the operation involved precision-guided air-launched weapons and attack drones targeting facilities used to unload and store military cargo.
Russian officials also said the strikes hit a workshop producing components for unmanned aerial vehicles and a warehouse storing drones intended for Ukraine’s military.
The claims were made by Russia’s Defense Ministry and have not been independently verified. Ukrainian authorities had not immediately commented on the reported strikes.
