Israel.- The alert sirens were activated this Tuesday in several areas of Israel such as Jerusalem, Yarkon, Yehuda, Judea, Dead Sea, Sor del Negev, a few hours after the army confirmed an air strike in Doha, Qatar, directed against members of the Hamas leadership. The offensive was presented as a direct response to Monday’s attack in Jerusalem, which left victims and shock in the Israeli capital.

So far, no casualties have been reported within Israeli territory following the activation of the alarms, but the situation remains highly volatile, with fears of a new military escalation in the Middle East.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly took responsibility for the operation, stating that “Israel will respond firmly to any terrorist aggression.” Military sources indicated that the attack sought to neutralize senior Hamas commanders involved in planning actions against Israel.
