Minutes before this proposal, Rodríguez reported that Saab resigned from his position as Attorney General, without the specific reasons for such decision being known, despite sending a letter to the AN’s board of directors, as well as Ruiz Angulo, who argued personal, family, and health reasons for leaving the Ombudsman’s Office in a letter. Both officials had been ratified in these positions in October 2024, for a period of seven years, that is, until 2031.
