At least three people have died and more than 80 have been injured, including a man in serious condition, as a result of the launch of more than 200 Iranian missiles against Israel in retaliation for the wave of Israeli bombings in several parts of the Persian territory, including several nuclear facilities such as the Fordo uranium enrichment plant, located in Qom province.
Most of the victims came from direct impacts on a 32-story building in Tel Aviv and the adjacent city of Ramat Gan, reported the Israeli news portal Ynet, citing sources from Israel’s national ambulance service, Magen David Adom (MDA), and local residents.
Previously, the MDA had reported the registration of 34 injured, including a man and a woman — who has finally been one of the deceased — in serious condition, as well as four others in “moderate” condition due to shrapnel who have been evacuated to Ichilov and Sheba hospitals in Tel Hashomer. In addition, four other people have been treated for panic attacks.
Furthermore, another attack on residential buildings has resulted in two more people dead and 19 injured, of whom three are in serious condition and the rest are minor. All were taken to Shamir and Wolfson hospitals, near the capital Tel Aviv.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has confirmed in a statement issued shortly after the first launch the beginning of the ‘True Promise III’ operation in response to ‘Rising Lion’, the military maneuvers launched during the early hours by Israel against Iranian nuclear facilities and the military leadership of the Islamic republic.
Within the framework of this counteroffensive, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has recommended that its nationals remain in “protected areas until further notice,” although it later lifted the recommendation after assessing that the launches by Iran had ceased. However, Israeli air raid alerts have sounded again in different parts of the country throughout the night due to the presence of alleged Iranian drones on Israeli soil.
