United Nations.- The president of the United States, Donald Trump, declared this Tuesday, before the UN General Assembly, that he must make a “big decision” regarding Iran: whether to reach an agreement that puts an end to the war or “annihilate” the Islamic Republic.
In the same speech, however, the president expressed his opinion that there will be an agreement to end the war after the U.S. legislative elections on November 3rd.

“I must make a big decision”, the president expressed. “Reach an agreement with Iran that allows it to rebuild itself (…) or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly?”, the president continued.
“Do I push them into hell without any chance of survival and without any hope of achieving any greatness in the future or for the next generations?” he added.
The president added that he believes there will be an agreement after the elections because the Iranians “are waiting to see” how Trump does in the elections.
During his speech, he also asserted that the U.S. Navy has recently escorted more than 1 billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, where, despite the Iranian blockade, he said that “more oil is flowing than at any other time since the start of the war.”
