U.S. President Donald Trump stated this Friday that he never went to Jeffrey Epstein’s island, the deceased financier accused of sex trafficking of minors. “They should be talking about Bill Clinton, who went to the island 28 times. I never went to the island“, the president pointed out during a brief meeting with journalists.
When questioned about an alleged letter that Trump had sent to Epstein, he assured that he doesn’t even know what they were talking about. “Someone could have written a letter, used my name, but that happens often, the only thing to do is look at the file, the fake file, everything is fake with that [Democrat] administration,” he added, calling them “a bunch of sick people”.

The information about the alleged letter was published by The Wall Street Journal, which points out that Trump sent Epstein a congratulatory letter for his 50th birthday with a drawing of a naked woman.In the publication, the media referred to documents contained in an album that were examined by the Justice system while investigating the financier and his then-partner, Ghislaine Maxwell. It was reported that the album – compiled before 2006 – contained photos, poems, and greetings from academics, businessmen, childhood friends, and Epstein’s ex-girlfriends.
Last week Friday, Trump fulfilled his threat to sue magnate Rupert Murdoch, owner of the newspaper, for the publication of said article. According to the local press, which cites court records, the case was filed in a federal court in Miami. The lawsuit affects Murdoch and two WSJ reporters.- Jeffrey Epstein was found dead on August 10, 2019, in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan (New York), where he was awaiting trial on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors.
