U.S. President Donald Trump asserted this Monday that in a few weeks it will be known if the situation in Ukraine will be resolved.
“In a certain period of time, not too far off, a week or two, we will know if we are going to resolve this or if it is a horrible struggle,” Trump affirmed.

The US president also stated that the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict depends now on the leader of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, and that he believes it is possible to reach an agreement with President Vladimir Putin.
“Ultimately, this is a decision that only President Zelensky and the people of Ukraine can make […]. I have the feeling that you [Zelensky] and President Putin are going to reach an agreement,” he stated.

Zelensky arrived in the U.S. to address the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict after the historic summit held by the Russian and American leaders last Friday in the state of Alaska. Both Putin and Trump highlighted that the talks took place in a “constructive and mutually respectful” environment.
