A 91-year-old woman died after she was allegedly attacked and pushed by a monkey outside her home in BT Patil Nagar, in Karnataka’s Koppal district, on Monday.
The woman, identified as Najamunisa Begum, suffered serious injuries during the incident and was taken to a hospital for treatment. She later died from her injuries.
CCTV footage captured the attack and shows the monkey suddenly jumping onto the woman. Another elderly woman came outside after hearing the commotion and was reportedly at risk of another attack before people from the surrounding area arrived.
The animal fled after residents reached the scene. The footage was shared by news agency PTI on X.
