Chinese slackline athlete Shi Hailin took on a dangerous crossing over Tiger Leaping Gorge in southwestern China, walking 100 meters on a rope just 2.5 centimeters wide.
More than 3,000 meters above the roaring Jinsha River, Shi had to contend with intense and unpredictable wind gusts that threatened to throw him off balance.
With his knees bent and arms extended, the athlete managed to maintain his balance throughout the crossing, turning the challenge into a test of physical endurance, concentration and control above the gorge.
