Dominican man, 33, dies after being shot in the chest at Bronx bodega

A 33-year-old Dominican man died Tuesday after being shot at point-blank range in the chest inside a bodega in the Bronx, New York.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to a hospital and was initially expected to survive. However, he died hours later from his injuries.

The shooting occurred shortly after midnight on East 149th Street in the Concourse area.

Police are searching for 31-year-old Jesús Acosta, who is also wanted in connection with another deadly shooting that occurred two days earlier in Brooklyn.
