The Dominican Athletics Federation held the National Championship of Jumps, throws, middle distance, long distance and Race Walking this weekend, in Bayaguana and La Romana tracks, where the athletes with the best marks will be joining the different national pre-selections for the Central American and Caribbean Games.

The president of the Athletics Federation stated that the athletes who achieved the best marks will be joining the different national pre-selections for the Central American and Caribbean Games, as well as for the National Athletics Championship. “We are focused on the Central American Games where we will bring our best to the track to raise the tricolor flag in the regional competition,” said Peguero. Likewise, the best brands will also be competing in the National Superior Championship that the Athletics Federation will be organizing, jointly with all provincial associations. The province of La Romana, summing up all the events from both last Friday and Saturday, accumulated a total of 177 points, followed by El Seibo with 128 points. San Pedro de Macorís took third place, and Monte Plata came in fourth with 60. The National Championship was sponsored by the Ministry of Sports, Olympic Committee, Grupo Creso, Adidas, World Athletics, and INEFI.Gold, Silver, and Bronze Winners
