Braves acquire Carlos Carrasco from the Yankees to reinforce a battered rotation

In the Majors, he recorded an ERA of 5.91 in eight games (six as a starter) this season. The arrival of the experienced pitcher comes just one day after Atlanta also added right-hander Erick Fedde from the Cardinals, in another cash move. The Braves’ management seeks to stabilize a rotation that has been hard hit, with the five Opening Day starters currently on the injured list.
