LOS ANGELES. – With a demonstration of perseverance and composure, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 3-1 in the third game of the National League Championship Series (NLCS), putting them one win away from returning to the World Series.

For the Dodgers, Shohei Ohtani opened the scoring with a triple in the first inning and was driven in by Mookie Betts, while starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow limited Milwaukee’s damage to a single run before leaving in the sixth inning.
With this victory, Los Ángeles takes a 3-0 lead in the series, a historically dominant position: teams that have led by that margin in best-of-seven series have advanced in 40 of 41 occasions (97.6%). The Brewers, who have only scored one run in each of the first three games, will try to extend the series on Friday, when José Quintana will take the mound to face Ohtani again. However, their outlook is complicated after the injury of star outfielder Jackson Chourio, who left the game in the seventh inning due to discomfort in his right hamstring. The Dodgers, the current champions, could secure their ticket to the 2025 World Series this Friday with another victory at Dodger Stadium.
