LA ROMANA.– With a timely offensive by Cristhian Adames and Ángel Genao, backed by a hermetic relief, the Águilas Cibaeñas defeated the Toros del Este 3-1 on Friday night at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium, in a key duel of the semifinal series of the LIDOM 2025-26 tournament.

The Eagles scored first in the first inning after a walk to Steward Berroa, a hit by Geraldo Perdomo, and a run-scoring single by Cristhian Adames. The Toros tied it immediately when Rudy Martin Jr. hit a single, stole second, and scored on a run-producing hit by Manuel Peña. The yellows regained the lead in the sixth inning. Leody Taveras drew a walk, stole second and advanced to third, before scoring thanks to a wild pitch for the 2-1. The insurance run came in the seventh, when Ángel Genao hit a run-scoring single that brought Jerar Encarnación to the plate, who had reached second after a play at shortstop.Dominant Pitching
The opener Luis Felipe Castillo worked two innings of one run.
