SANTIAGO. – The manager of the Águilas Cibaeñas, Luis “Pipe” Urueta, announced that the right-handed pitcher Jorge Tavárez will be the starting pitcher for the first game of the yellow team in the Semifinal Series “Todos Contra Todos” of the Dominican Republic’s autumn-winter baseball tournament, organized by LIDOM and dedicated to the immortal of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame, Juan Marichal.

The team, which finished in first place in the regular season, will begin its participation in the Round Robin on Saturday 27, when it receives the Leones del Escogido at the Cibao Stadium, starting at 5:00 in the afternoon. Tavárez was the most consistent pitcher for the Águilas during the recently concluded regular phase and one of the most effective arms in the championship.
